Cupcake One.

Well, you know how I said 500 plus cupcakes, yeah I'm not so sure anymore because the book I got was weird and the cup we had to do called for some not findable ingredients, so I had another cupcake book that I really like that I'm gonna do. It has 200 recipes, and that seems way more reasonable. I will take some cupcakes out of the other book but for now I'm sticking to the 200 one. (If you'd like the names of the books I'm using feel free to ask.) Anyways, the first cupcake in the 500 book was Spanish Orange Syrup Cupcakes, sounds delish huh? Well, it called for Semolina and Almond Meal we looked at Winco and Fred Meyer, my Mom and I weren't for sure on what it was if it was flour or something else, plus it was expensive for just a little, so we said no ha. We thought of what we gonna do and we decided it would be easier to use the other book, which we did and the first recipe was just a plain Vanilla Cupcake
Here's the list:
10 Tablespoons lightly salted butter, softed
2/3 cup superfine sugar
1 1/3 cup self-rising flour
3 eggs
 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Oh and cupcake liners of course!
After you get all your ingredients, you get a bowl a mixing thing-a-majig such as a spatula or whisk, put all the cupcake liners in the cupcake pan and put the ingredients in the medium sized bowl.
 I felt under pressure ha.
 Cupcake liners in.
Butter and sugar. (Mix when added.)
 Flour.
 Mix, mix, & mix.
 Add eggs.
 Another egg.
 Mix everything together.
Keep mixing. (Feeling the burn yet.) ;)
 Add the vanilla.
Mix everything until its a good consistency, kinda think.
After its all mixed, put the mix into the cupcake liners.
I just used an ice cream scooper and a spoon.

I thought that we would only need six liners because there wasn't much mix..
I was wrong, it made about 10, haha.
Now, the oven should be at 350 degrees and bake about 20 minutes.
My Mom and I don't like unfrosted cupcakes, so she made some frosting, (she's the frosting expert.) You can use any frosting you'd  like but we made our own, but I have to tell you there's no exact measurements, she just kinda goes with the flow. :)
What you will need:
Powdered or Confectioners sugar
Shortening
An orange (We bought it for the orange syrup cupcake in the other book.)
Butter
Heavy Whipping Cream
Vanilla
This is for a orange butter cream frosting, by the way.
I'm just going to post pictures up of how she made it and if you have questions, comment and I"ll try to tell you. (:
Butter and shortening. (Bigger part is the butter.)
 The whipping cream.
 EPIC FAIL! xD
 Powered sugar.
 A little more.
 Vanilla.
 Mix.
 Orange..
 Zest.
 Mix and mix.
 Orange..
 juice.
 Heavy whipping cream.
 Feel the burn!
 More powdered sugar.
If you want you could use a mixer.
Taste it and see if you like it and if its a good frosting consistency, it will be light tho, well should be.
Ooh! Don't forget about the cupcakes!!
 Perfect!
They should kinda look like a sugar cookie top.
That is the smallest one we had, ha.
Final product!
Not to toot my own horn but..
 Toot Toot!! (:
Those are my cupcakes, and let me tell you they are delish! If you make them, I hope you enjoy! :)
First cupcake down, tons and tons more to go! :)
Again..
ENJOY!!

  1. what a wonderful idea, I only have one suggestion....your yellow words are very hard to see and the others would be easier if they were in bold text. I'm looking forward to your blogs. GGma.

  2. I agree with gramma, the colorful words appear on my computer as just different color blocks, I have to highlight them with my mouse to see them.

    But....
....A good blog sister :) And I can't wait to try one of these delicious looking cupcakes, or see what you do next :)
